Pharmacists

Responsibilities:

The Pharmacist is primarily responsible for the dispensing of prescribed drugs / medicine, the compounding and preparation of non-commercially available drugs, and the provision of related administrative support and services in running the operations of the pharmacy.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.

Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities:

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the delivery of quality patient care and safety thru the provision of quality and efficient radiographic imaging procedures to the cardiac catheterization laboratory and its operators, meeting the requirements of the doctors and the cost-efficiency standards of the hospital, and execution of tasks that are within the scope of responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology.

Registered Nurse

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

Ambulance Nurses

Electrician

Responsibilities:

The Electrical Technologist is primarily responsible for undertaking electrical works including installation, repairs, and maintenance throughout the hospital.
The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Installs, repairs and maintains electrical circuits, motors, appliances, and other electrical fixtures.
  2. Undertakes periodic inspections of electrical wiring, panel boards, loads, motors, lighting fixtures as well as other electrical appliances and administrative equipment; Implements required actions whenever non-conformance with standards and specifications are noted.
  3. Prepares estimates of cost of materials and recommends those needed to be purchased for installation and repair of circuits, electrical lines, feeder lines, switches, breakers and other similar gadgets.
  4. Operates and maintains the hospital’s emergency power generating system together with its control panel and accessories.
  5. Ensures the security of the electrical system by taking required preventive and contingent actions related to emergencies such as fires, earthquakes, typhoons, and major blackouts.
  6. Maintains electrical tools and equipment to ensure that they are in good working condition.
  7. Undertakes work activities in conformity with the institutional guidelines on safety and infection control.
  8. Attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical, and personal proficiencies.
  9. Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of at least two years of vocational education in related field. Having passed government licensure examination for the registered master electrician is a definite advantage.
Speech Pathologist

Responsibilities:

The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Provide professional roles and activities in speech language pathology which includes:
    1. clinical / educational services
    2. prevention and advocacy
    3. education
    4. administration
    5. research
  2. Screens individuals for hearing loss or middle ear pathology using conventional pure-tone air conduction methods (including otoscopic inspection), otoacoustic emissions screening, and/or screening tympanometry.
  3. Provides intervention and support services for children and adults diagnosed with speech and language disorders.
  4. Observes, collects data and measures parameters of communication and swallowing or other upper aero digestive functions.
  5. Provides services to individuals with hearing loss and their families/caregivers e.g. auditory training for children with cochlear implants and hearing aides; speech reading; speech and language intervention secondary to hearing loss; visual inspection and listening checks of amplification devices for the purpose of troubleshooting, including verification of appropriate battery voltage.
  6. Makes service delivery decisions: admission/eligibility, frequency, duration, location, discharge/dismissal) across the lifespan;
  7. Counsels individuals, families, co-workers, educators and other persons in the community regarding acceptance, adaptation and decision making about communication and swallowing.
  8. Addresses behaviors e.g. preservative or disruptive actions and environments e.g. classroom seating, positioning for swallowing safety or attention, communication opportunities that affect communication and swallowing.
  9. Selects/fits and establishes use of prosthetic/adaptive devices for communication and swallowing
    Provides services to modify or enhance communication performance e.g. accent modification, transgender voice, care and improvement of the professional voice, personal/professional communication effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities:

The Laboratory Assistant is primarily responsible for providing technical and administrative assistance in undertaking laboratory tests and procedures on patients.

The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Receives out-patients, entertains their inquiries and determines the type of services they require.
  2. Receives specimen from out- and in-patients for laboratory analysis.
  3. Assists the Medical Technologist on specimen processing and in relaying panic values.
  4. Perform phlebotomy on in and out-patients; performs mass phlebotomy and specimen collection from out-patients referred by different client companies and institutions.
  5. Performs ward and home visitation for the purpose of securing samples and specimen for laboratory tests.
  6. Encodes, records, and releases laboratory results in accordance with proper authorization.
  7. Prepares charge slips for individual patients, health maintenance organizations, corporate accounts, and institutional customers and relays them to Accounting for the corresponding billing.
  8. Interviews blood donors as an alternate to the blood bank staff should they be pre-occupied with high level of workload.
  9. Responds to Code 911 alarms.
  10. Provides clerical and administrative support to the work unit.
  11. Prepares weekly planner on activities to be undertaken and prepares reports on actual results, outputs and accomplishments based on plans at the end of the week; consolidates accomplishment reports into monthly performance reports.
  12. Undertakes work activities in conformity with the institutional guidelines on safety and infection control.
  13. Performs such other duties and responsibilities analogous, germane or related to and/or implied from the above enumeration of duties and responsibilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a baccalaureate degree in the field of medical technology or any directly related course.

Occupational Therapist

Job Description:

The Occupational Therapist is primarily responsible for conducting occupational therapy sessions for patients in accordance with directions provided by physiatrists / medical consultants on the specific field.

 

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Undertakes observation and diagnostic testing, to supplement the Physiatrists’ initial evaluations in order to identify occupational therapy needs of the patients; Executes orders of the Physiatrist on the conduct of identified therapy session.
  2. Conducts occupational therapy sessions for patients within the clinic or on home-care basis on the following:
  3. splinting for stroke patients to prevent or correct deformity
  4. exercising the patient to restore normal mobility of extremities
  5. conducting counseling sessions to enhance psychological resolve towards rehabilitation
  6. providing guidelines and techniques to enable them to re-adjust to normal routines of everyday life; providing recommendation on the use of adaptive equipment to replace loss of function.
  7. providing therapeutic drills and exercises to restore normal function of speech, psycho-motor coordination, physiological functioning like swallowing.
  8. Maintains treatment area, equipment and inventory of supply and prepares requisition for requirements as stocks are depleted

Radiologic Technologist

Responsibilities:

Job Description:

The Radiologic Technologist is primarily responsible for the provision of technical assistance to medical practitioners on the conduct of prescribed radiologic examination of patients.

 

Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The position holder shall undertake the following functions:

  1. Validates doctors’ instructions on the type of examination to be done; sets schedules and coordinates preparation for examinations to be conducted with the patient and the Nurse on duty.
  2. Performs radiologic procedures such as MRI, CT scan, mammography, and ultrasound; inserts line with IV injection if contrast is needed.
  3. Ensures that preventive measures are undertaken to prevent assisting relatives of patients from being exposed to hazards of radiation.
  4. Assist the Radiologist/ Sonologist in performing interventional studies like abdominal, chest biopsies, paracenthesis and thoracenthesis.
  5. Processes exposed films, checks the radiograph, and submits outputs for the interpretation of the Radiologist.
  6. undertakes work activities in conformity with the institutional guidelines on safety and infection control.
  7. Attends training programs and learning sessions for the enhancement of professional, technical, and personal proficiencies.

Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities:

Job Description:

The Respiratory Therapist is primarily responsible for performing respiratory care treatments on patients in compliance of orders provided by medical consultants.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducts disinfection of all machines and equipment before and after use in respiratory procedures.

Validates doctors’ orders as contained in charts and as relayed by nurses on the exact specifications about required procedures and required medication.

Performs respiratory care treatments and procedures consisting of the following:

  1. Gas Therapy
  2. Aerosol Therapy
  3. Airway Management
  4. Pulmonary Function Test Study
  5. Pulmonary Rehabilitation
  6. Arterial Blood Gas Analysis
  7. Mechanical Ventilation

Qualifications:

  • Holder of a bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
